Dr F F Hussain BSc FRCS FRCR Dr Fuad Hussain qualified from Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospital Medical School with an MB BS in 1994. During his time at Guy’s and St Thomas’ he achieved a First Class BSc in Radiological Sciences and was awarded the Kyriacos Prize for being the top student in Radiological Sciences. Already committed to a career in radiology, with an interest in image guided therapies, he first undertook surgical training with accredited posts in neurosurgery, cardiothoracic, colorectal and orthopaedic surgery at King’s College and St. George’s Hospitals in London, attaining the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1996. His radiological training was based at St George’s Hospital in South London and this encompassed specialist attachments to the Royal Marsden Hospital, Great Ormond Street Hospital, Atkinson Morley Hospital and culminated with a two year period of specialisation in interventional radiology. Dr Hussain has been working at Royal Surrey County Hospital since 2003, and was appointed to the Consultant Staff when the vacancy arose in 2005. He is the Lead Radiologist for the Hepato-Pancreatico-Biliary Cancer Regional Multi-Disciplinary Team and supports the Colorectal and Gynaecological Cancer Multi-Disciplinary Teams. He retains a keen interest in musculoskeletal imaging and his surgical background complements his radiological interests. He is also the Lead Radiologist for PACS (Picture Archive and Communication System) at Royal Surrey County Hospital and is skilled in all aspects of image processing and manipulation that is increasingly important in modern imaging. |
